Greetings!

Thanks to all those who have already responded to our survey request.  To those who have put off responding, there is still time to do so.  After the holidays we will sit down, review the results, and make plans accordingly.

There have been many developments since our last post.  The most significant was the promotion of Warden Jason Bunting to a Central Office position in September.  During Warden Bunting’s service at MCI many positive changes occurred.  One that impacted us was the increased involvement of MCI retirees.  While he was Warden we were invited to seminars, conferences and Strategic Planning Retreats to make use of our knowledge and experience.  During this period the monthly free lunches for retirees in the Wander Inn was initiated, along with special MCI Retiree ID cards.  Although Warden Bunting is leaving for a position outside DRC, his positive impact on the place where he invested so much time and energy ensures his positive legacy.

Replacing Warden Bunting is Lyneal Wainwright.  A more detailed description of her background is available on the DRC web site, but many of us first met her while she was next door at NCCI.  Although each Warden brings some change of focus and perspective, Warden Wainwright has informed us MCI’s relationship with retirees will be unchanged.  When you see her, whether in the hallways or the Wander Inn, please join us in welcoming her.

December is just around the corner, which is a good indication that MCI’s Ministry of Theatre Christmas performances will happen before you know it.  The dates are December 12th through the 15th, with performances daily at 1pm and 7pm.  For those interested in attending, please DO NOT contact the institution for admission.  Instead, follow this link to arrange for a ticket:

There are some items to note:

- Yes, a ticket is required for each person, even though it is a free event.  That allows MCI to plan how many persons are present for each performance.

- Even though it is a free event, they do accept donations to defray the costs of the production.  Do NOT bring cash.  Instead, they accept either checks or Money Orders made out to "MCI Ministry of Theatre".

- The minimum age for persons attending the performances is eight (8) years old.

We hope you enjoy the performances
