Retiree Picnic - Postponed!

This is a quick update.  As you might recall, MCI had planned to host a picnic for MCI Retirees at the FOP Park outside of Caledonia in July.  The target date was Tuesday, July 19.  Due to schedule issues, that date is no longer a good choice.  As a result the event is being postponed.

Toward the end of July the MCI Employee Activity Committee will meet to select an alternate date.  At this point the date range is expected to be from the middle to late August, but that is speculation on our part. 

As soon as additional information is available we will send the details, and post them on our web site.

In other news, don’t forget the monthly Free Lunches at MCI’s Wander Inn, known to most retirees as the former Officer’s Dining Room.  They are the first Wednesday each month.    

We also have our next Retiree Luncheon scheduled for Tuesday, September 6, at the Marion Diner (1565 Marion-Waldo Rd, Marion, OH 43302).  We meet at noon, have use of their south room, and order from the menu.  That lunch isn’t free, but we’ve been told the company and conversation are priceless.
