Spring!?!?!?!
How can that be?
Only in Ohio can you have sunny 70 degree days in winter,
followed by snowy 19 degree days in spring.
Or at least that is how it seems most times. The weather has been unpredictable, at least
according to the local prognosticators.
Our favorite weather-related headline of the season?
“We face 'new normal' of
extremes.”
Meteorologists everywhere
salivated when that headline broke.
Although we face the
prospect of shoveling more snow, we know there are warmer times coming. Some of those can be found the first
Wednesday of each month at the Wander Inn.
Operating from the former ODR, lunches are available from 10:30am until noon. What is the attraction?
It’s free!
Warden Bunting has extended an offer to all MCI
retirees of a free lunch the first Wednesday of each month. All that is needed is to call the Warden’s
Office no later than the working day before to have your name added to the gate
pass (740-382-5781, extension #2210). On
your initial visit they will prepare an MCI Retiree badge for you, eliminating
the need for gate passes for future “free lunch” days. A better offer than this will be hard to
find.
In view of the free lunch program, we have some
important dates for your calendar.

Before closing, I have an additional item to bring
to your attention. Due to personal
reasons I will be stepping down as President of our group in the near
future. If you enjoy our gatherings as
much as I have, I invite you to consider taking over as President. For those interested I’ll talk more about
this during the luncheon at Ryan’s.
Until then,
Stay warm!
Robert Ferguson,
President
.
